Although BSM has been around since 1907, we began installing large scale architectural sheet metal projects in 2000. The majority of our sheet metal roofing and metal siding projects include: schools, libraries, community centers, and fire stations. On a smaller scale, we install sheet metal roofing, metal siding and/or custom flashing on retail shops, custom homes, condos, light houses, grocery stores, and apartments. We specialize in all types of metal roofing, metal siding, metal & wood composite panel systems, rainscreen applications, building envelope, weather barriers, exterior insulation, flexible flashing, gutters, downspouts, scuppers, conductor heads, coping, cornice, chimney caps/chases, louvers, flashing and a variety of custom flashing shapes. We work with a variety of materials including; pre-painted steel, galvanized, copper, stainless steel, aluminum, zinc, weathering steel, bronze, aluminum/steel composite, aluminum plate and other exterior components. Due to our own custom fabrication facility in Ballard, we are not limited to standard light gauge flashing typically used for exterior flashing. We can shear, brake, bend, punch, weld, roll, and form just about any material from 24 gauge to 3/8” metals to meet any of your project requirements. Our estimating, project management, production and field personnel all pay the utmost attention to detail to insure that each project is bid and built according to plans and specifications. Our standards of high quality CAD shop drawings and complete submittals settle any coordination issues with other building trades, and offer design assistance to ensure a weather tight exterior assembly. The craftsmen and equipment in our fabrication shop make it possible for on-time deliveries to meet any construction schedule. Project: Auburn Golf Course Clubhouse, Auburn, WA GC: Briere & Associates Contract: $136K Architect: David A Clark Architects, PLLC Scope: BSM installed Fabral’s AP-12 “Dark Bronze” standing seam metal roof panels on a very cut up roof layout. |
Project: Cedarhurst Elementary, Burien, WA GC: Babbit Neuman Construction Co. Contract: $1.7 million Architect: TCF Architecture PLLC Scope: BSM installed Metal Sales Manufacturing’s 22gauge “Weathered Copper” Vertical Seam metal roof panels (60,000sf), ice and watershield, 6.125” Atlas cross-vent nailboard rigid insulation, 1/2” Densdeck roof board sheathing, and vapor barrier. The walls consisted of brick veneer (by others), with small accents of flush face metal wall panels and custom Vintage Copper wall panels. |

Project: Curtis Junior High School, University Place, WA GC: Bershauer Phillips Contract: $755K Architect: BLRB Architects Scope: BSM installed Metal Sales Manufacturing’s TL-1222 “Mistique Plus”concealed fastener metal wall panels. BSM fabricated custom S-lock flat soffit panels and installed over zee furring. Kingspan Insulated Metal Panels (API) supplied the Centurywall H “Silversmith” insulated metal wall panel system with reveal flashing, installed over vertical hat channel. The bus canopies were covered with metal roofing. Custom fabricated gutter hangs on 1/8” x 2” galvanized painted gutter brackets which drain into 4” PVC schedule 40 painted downspouts. |

Project: Creekside Elementary School, Issaquah, WA GC: Babbit Neuman Construction Co. Contract: $500K Architect: Cornerstone Architecture Scope: BSM installed Metal Sales’ Magna-Lok metal roof panel (44,000sf) “Mistique Plus” paint finish. Exterior metal siding consisted of horizontal V-Line 32 custom color “Rustique”, and vertical TLC flush face metal siding panels in “Metallic Silver” and “Mistique Plus.” Window flashing was fabricated in contrasting colors for this beautifully designed school. |
