BSM has been involved with the Marine Industry since the early 1900's when the fishing industry was just beginning and vessels were being built all around the area. BSM found that these vessels needed fuel and water tanks, machine guards, exhaust stacks, smoke pipes, gear chutes, etc. We still continue to fabricate many of these items. The fishing industry today also includes the processing industry along the West Coast and throughout Alaska. We fabricate and repair canning and processing equipment, including conveyors, tables, chutes, freezing pans, and bins. Our scope of work also includes shipboard ventilation with all of the local yards in the Puget Sound. The tow boat industry vessels are regular customers, and we also serve the pleasure boat industry fabricating fuel and water tanks, custom fittings, bow rollers, galley equipment, and highly functional or highly decorative metal surfaces. Although our name says "sheet metal", we do fabrication in any metal material that is available, including steel, stainless steel, brass, copper, and monel from light gauge material through 1/4 inch plate. |
